Life is Good

Hey Everyone! I'm back. ha. I am sorry it has been forever (ok a few years. . .  literally, but I have been to busy with life. I am really going to get better at posting more regularly. I really love it, so I am going to make more time to do it.

It took me a while to figure out what I was going to talk about, but I decided to share things that I enjoy. The things that make life good & will hopefully make the world seem a little happier.

I am still working on my baking skills. I really enjoy learning new tricks and getting better, but I know I have a long way to go. I made these cupcakes for my cousin graduating college. They are red velvet with cream cheese frosting. They were super easy to make & turned out well.

Lately, I have started a new hobby: riding my bicycle. I am seriously in LOVE with my Huffy bike. It  is so cute (which is a great reason to by one bicycle over the other, right?!) I have never been much of a biker, but I now want to be one. I have always loved going on walks & bicycling is no different for me. I love the solitude of it all. I do some of my best thinking & taking in the world around me on a bicycle ride. There is a greenway in town that makes for the perfect place to ride.

There are so many other things I want to share with you, but this is it for now. Stay tuned for more. . . .
Also,  please feel free to share a great story or any comments on mine. There are so many wonderful people & things in this world. I love hearing about them all. Stay happy my friends and remember:

Life is good.

UPDATES!!

Hello dearies!
Ok. So, I realized that I have been slacking on posting, and that it is not okay. Also, it is now April & I feel like I should update you on how my resolutions list is going. HERE YOU GO:
2. Read More. IN Progress! I feel like I made this too easy. . . You can never read too much. Some of the books I have & am going to read are: The Hunger Games Trilogy (saw the movie & liked it, so I guess I will join the bandwagon), The Lucky One by Nicholas Sparks (in progress, but debating if I should wait until after the movie?? ugh. . slacker), Remember Me? by Sophie Kinsella, Mini Shopaholic by Sophie Kinsella (I want to read the whole Shopaholic series, so I am waiting to borrow or buy the series from the beginning first. ha), The Gift by Cecelia Ahern (Author of popular & AWESOME book turned into movie P. S. I Love You), and Thanks for the Memories by Cecelia Ahern.
11. Go to More games. I went to a high school basketball game & a Nashville Predators hockey game! (my teams lost both games, but it was still a great time!)
12. Reconnect with old friends. I think I am doing better at this, not great, but better.
19. Grow my hair out again. IN Progress!! It is now 2-3 inches below my shoulders. NOT LONG ENOUGH! haha
22. Be happy. While it is easy to get stressed out at times, 'I would still consider myself happy. :)
OK, now that I am caught up. . . .
I want to write a book.
Well, this is not actually a new thought. I have wanted to write a book since I was very young. In fact, I used to make little picture books & try to sell them at the end of our drive way. (cute, right?) But, as I got older I changed my approach. I did write a short picture book (this one had words, too. haha) for class in about third or fourth grade. I went as far as making a hard cover and sleeve for the book. I think I still have it somewhere. . I hope so. But, anyways, I want to write a book. Sounds easy enough, right? I love writing and talking, so a book should be easy. NOPE. It is so hard to pick something to talk about. I want to write something worth reading. No, I do not really think that I will just write a book and the next day become a new york times bestseller (Even though SNOOKI did it. . . ) but, I would like to have the opportunity. Why write a book just for yourself? They make journals for that. So, now I am trying to figure out what to write about. .
That's all folks! (ha)

WKU PRIDE!

Hello dears!
Ok, I'll admit that I am not much of a basketball fan most of the time, but I can be when it involves team I love. & I LOVE WKU! I am soo very proud of my alma mater and all of the buzz surrounding the game last night! SOO, needless to say, I am super excited about the UK vs WKU game tomorrow night!
Now, I know what you are thinking. . . . "Does she really foolish enough to think WKU has a shot?!" YES I AM! I know it is a long shot, but if anyone could pull off an upset, it is the Hilltoppers! I have full faith that they can do this! GOOOO TOPS! {fingers crossed}
Ok, now that my overly excited about sports side is done, I entered a giveaway on ELLEN's website last night to try to win a trip to Ireland (#1 on my bucket list) . . . . && I REALLY want to win!! {fingers crossed} & speaking of Ireland, I am trying out my first recipe from my Irish Pub Cookbook tomorrow night! Soo excited & hoping everyone likes it!
Well. . . that is about it for now. Stay positive friends!
